Wedding Day

I got a phone call this morning from a friend and she said, "I am getting married today!" I was in shock! I had just found out a couple days ago that she was dating this guy and next thing I know she is asking if I would take pictures of her wedding at the courthouse in a couple hours! I pray God's blessing upon this marriage.

I took some photos of my newest niece while I was visiting Leah. Isn't she a cutie? Raine was born July 27th and weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces. She was late- 2 weeks past her due date! Welcome to the family Baby Raine!

Cousins

We took LOTS of pictures of this pose to make sure we got one that looked nice. Guess what? This was the first picture that I took! We were very surprised that the three in the back just stood there and didn't immediately wander off.

Newest Additions

My mother and father-in law are in court today to finalize the adoption of two girls from the foster care system. While on vacation last week, we took a new family photo in honor of all the new family members (in addition to the girls, Leah also had her baby recently). My in-laws are amazing! The journey they are on is not an easy one by any stretch of the imagination. Yet they are putting their faith into practice and are doing what Christ asks of us, "to look after the widows and orphans." I pray that the Lord blesses them and fills their home with peace, joy, and laughter.

Braden- 9 Months Already?

Not What I Was Looking For...

I am not getting the shots of town that I am looking for. But I am getting some cute photos of my kids :) This is "The Rock" at Blackburn. Students are constantly painting it- sometimes just for fun, sometimes with a message. Caleb was calling it, "The EGG!" Maybe someday I will have my husband home again and then I can go out and take some professional photos... On second thought, once my husband is home again, I may never leave the house!

Travel Brochure?

I was just taking a snapshot but once I got this on the computer, this photo made me smile. I wanted to take pictures of summer in Carlinville but haven't had a chance to get out. Jason is using all of his time to work on the house so I don't have a babysitter. Today I loaded up the stroller, grabbed cameras for the kids (they tolerate stops better if they get to do whatever I am doing), and we headed out. This is my favorite photo of the day :) Don't they look like the perfect tourists? Cameras, sunglasses... Too funny :)

Anna is so beautiful as a 2 year old. I'm glad that she is still little because I don't think her daddy will even let her out of the house as a teenager :) I was setting up for a photo session and Anna actually let me take a few pictures of her. I love this dress- bought it last week at our local consignment store for only $2.00.

A Whole Year!

1 Day Old

     A whole year has passed since we welcomed Ethan James into our arms. I can't believe my baby boy is turning one tomorrow! Happy birthday, Ethan! We love you and are so thankful that God placed you in our family.

Again and Again?!?

This photo is for Leah. She requested the hand-colored look for one of Anna's photos. And as Anna would say, "Again and again?" One of those cute phrases that probably only has cuteness for the parents, right? Like an inside joke? I am just saying that this is the second post of Anna in the same day!

Tear Duct Round 2

Jason took Ethan to St. Louis a couple days ago for an appointment with an eye specialist. Are you impressed? I have such a great husband. I really wanted to go with them but didn't have someone to watch the kids and it seemed smarter to just stay home with them.

Anyway, the specialist confirmed what we already knew; Ethan has a blocked tear duct and will need to have it probed. Take a close look at his left eye in these photos and you will see what we are talking about. I am sad that we have to go this route again. Ethan actually had both eyes blocked from birth but one of them God chose to open up. You may remember, we have already gone through this with Caleb. He had a blocked tear duct and just after his first birthday we had to get it taken care of.

Please pray for us and especially for Baby Ethan.
